More Than Real Estate: Why I Keep Sharing Dogs

HI!!!

If you've followed me for any length of time, you've probably noticed something.

I don't just post about houses.

I post about dogs.

A lot.

Some people probably wonder why a Realtor spends so much time sharing shelter dogs, adoption events, rescue stories, and photos of puppies looking for homes. The answer is simple:

Because every dog deserves a chance.

Anyone who knows me knows that dogs aren't just pets in my world—they're family. My own dogs, Daphne and Diezel, are a huge part of my life. They make me laugh, keep me company, steal my spot on the couch, and remind me every day how much love an animal can bring into a home.

That's why animal rescue has become such an important part of who I am and what I do.

Every Dog Has a Story

When I look at an adoptable dog, I don't just see a photo.

I see a story.

Sometimes it's a dog that was abandoned.

Sometimes it's a dog that lost its owner.

Sometimes it's a dog that has spent months—or even years—waiting for someone to choose them.

And the truth is, many amazing dogs are overlooked simply because not enough people ever see them.

That's where all of us can help.

The Power of One Share

Not everyone is in a position to adopt a dog right now.

I understand that.

But almost everyone can click a button.

One share.

One comment.

One tag.

One conversation.

That's all it takes sometimes.

A rescue post that reaches twenty people may not change anything. A rescue post that reaches two thousand people might put that dog directly in front of the family they've been waiting for.

I've seen it happen.

A dog sits in rescue for months with little interest, and then one person shares their story. Suddenly, the right person sees it. An application comes in. A meet-and-greet is scheduled. A family is formed.

Lives change because somebody took five seconds to hit "share."

Why This Matters to Me

My business has always been about more than real estate.

Yes, I help people buy and sell homes.

But my mission has never stopped there.

When I created my brand as Your Adopt-a-Pet Realtor, it wasn't a marketing gimmick. It was a reflection of what matters most to me.

Every closing gives me an opportunity to give back to animals in need.

Every sale helps me support rescue efforts.

Every transaction becomes an opportunity to help save another tail.

That's why my tagline is:

Every Sale Saves a Tail.

Because I truly believe that homes change lives—both for people and for pets.

Partnering with Sage's Sanctuary

This year, I'm excited to support Sage's Sanctuary and the incredible work they do helping animals get the care, love, and second chances they deserve.

Rescue organizations face challenges every day. Medical bills, food costs, transportation, foster needs, and simply getting animals seen by potential adopters can be overwhelming.

The work they do is nothing short of amazing.

By sharing their adoptable pets, supporting their events, donating when we can, and helping spread awareness, we become part of the solution.

Ways You Can Help Today

You don't have to adopt to make a difference.

You can:

• Share adoptable dog posts on social media.

• Follow and engage with rescue organizations.

• Donate supplies, food, or funds.

• Volunteer your time.

• Foster a dog in need.

• Tell friends and family about adoptable pets.

• Help rescue organizations reach a larger audience.

Every action matters.

Every share matters.

Every conversation matters.

A Simple Favor

The next time you see me post a dog looking for a home, would you do me a favor?

Share it.

That's it.

You never know who might see it.

You never know which family has been thinking about adopting.

You never know which dog is just one share away from finding the life they've been waiting for.

And if you've ever adopted a rescue dog, then you already know:

They may not be with us for our entire lives, but they somehow make our entire lives better.

Let's help more dogs find the homes—and the people—they deserve.

Because not everyone can adopt.

But everyone can help.

And sometimes, one simple share can change everything.
